Tips for healthy skin in 2020



Wear Sunscreen!


No matter how old or young you are, you MUST wear sunscreen. Yes, even in the freezing cold months of Chicago. Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) is extremely damaging to the skin no matter what the season is. It not only contributes to skin cancer but it also causes skin aging such as wrinkles, skin sagging and brown spots.




Change your pillowcases weekly


Pillowcases hold a lot of bacteria and oils which could cause your skin to breakout or if you suffer from acne, it will only make it worse. I know it's definitely not the easiest thing to do but I promise you it makes such a difference.




Wash your makeup brushes regularly


Makeup brushes hold a huge amount of debris, dirt, dust and bacteria. Can you imagine just transferring all of this onto your face! Dirty brushes can contribute to acne, skin infections and skin irritation. I recommend the cinema secrets makeup brush cleanser or even the Ecotools cleanser that is sold at ULTA!





Wash your makeup off before bed


I know it's great after a long day to just plop into bed and not worry about cleaning off your makeup. It could seriously clog your pores causing acne and breakouts. Not even just that but it could cause the skin to not be able to repair itself while you are sleeping which in the long run can cause faster aging. Nobody wants that right!?
